Helping more than 500 refugees learn Spanish.

At SoyGuiri we work with CEAR, the Commission for Refugee Aid, in Malaga. There, in person and thanks to our methodology, we helped more than 500 people to learn our language as a basis for integration and an easier and happier life in our country.

The Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR) is a Spanish NGO founded in 1979. Its main objectives are based on defending the rights of refugees, stateless persons or migrants in need of international protection or at risk of social exclusion. For more than four decades, CEAR has worked to defend and promote the right to asylum in Spain with the aim of advancing its recognition and guaranteeing access to international protection.

CEAR works on reception, social inclusion, psychological care, legal defence and the denunciation of violations of the rights of refugees. During 2018 it attended to nearly 32,000 people of 120 nationalities and more than 4,000 were received in one of the 1,727 places that the organisation currently has in the Community of Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country, the Valencian Community, Andalusia, Navarre and the Canary Islands.

Since March 2021 we have been working with CEAR-Malaga.

We help refugees to learn our language so that they can integrate in our city and continue their training for greater employability.

During these 3 years and 3 months, and thanks to our methodology, we have managed to see the results in the communicative use of Spanish in more than 1100 people.
